All basic handgun course students will receive class materials and a completion certificate upon finishing the course. Participants must be law-abiding citizens legally permitted to possess a firearm.

TIM DOWNING
NRA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR
(Certified Pistol & Rifle)
Tim has been an instructor for three years and loves working with those wishing to hone their skills. He has been a competitive shooter for the past six years in pistol, rifle and mid to long range shooting. His calming demeanor has helped first time shooters to understand firearm safety and grow their experience. Tim takes pride in being able to convey the mechanics of shooting so that a person more easily recognizes what allows them to be more confident with a firearm.

Anthony Davis
NRA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR
(Certified Pistol & Rifle)
Anthony has been an instructor for two years. He enjoys working with both new and more seasoned shooters. He has military experience as a Marine Corps infantryman; with two combat deployments to Afghanistan. He has years of shooting experience: starting from the age of six, hunting with his grandpa and uncle. Anthony enjoys helping individuals achieve their desired goals with firearms, whether it be someone completely new to firearms or someone with experience who just wants to improve or expand their skills and knowledge.

Tá Pettiford
NRA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR
(Certified Pistol & Rifle)
Ta’ has been an instructor for five years and has rounded out her firearm knowledge working at Glock as an armorer. She has helped women and men from various firearm skill levels with her caring and humorous manner. Ta’ has worked with entire families, including young children, to help teach a solid foundation of firearm safety. She guides her students with a solid knowledge base and core fundamentals so their experience grows along with their ability.

Introduction: The course is designed for the person who is unfamiliar with firearms procedures, safety practices or needs to develop a solid foundation of shooting skills with regard to the handgun. It is excellent for people new to, or returning to, shooting sports, or someone needing a refresher course of the basics.
Goal: To provide you the basic knowledge, skills and mindset necessary for owning and operating a handgun safely.
